Birthdays and Bridal Shops

I can't believe I'm not going to be 20-something a year from now...didn't I just turn 21 and buy my first beer at the bar?!?!?!? I had a great day - thank you for all your wonderful birthday wishes!

My mom took me to lunch at Bombay Clay Oven in Cherry Creek North - what a jewel of a restaurant! My mom saw their small ad in the community newspaper and suggested we check it out. We had the buffet and not only was there a wide selection of very delicious Indian Cuisine but it was under $10 each person! Crazy! I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a yummy Indian Buffet - my mouth is watering just writing about it!
After our lunch, we walked around Cherry Creek North and popped into Andrisen Morton to browse through their wedding gowns. Believe it or not, this was my first time going into a bridal shop just to browse. I've visited plenty to talk with the owners about business stuff but never gone in just to enjoy the beautiful dresses. Since I was with my mom, I knew this would be a perfect time to "day dream" with her. One of my July 2009 brides, Christen, has shared many details about her wedding planning progress over our weekly breakfast dates. She tried on dresses a couple months ago and found the perfect one for her (yea!) and yesterday when I was in the shop, I got a glimpse of what she was talking about when she told me "I just knew this was the one". There is a certain energy inside in the room housing the dresses. It's anxiousness, it's joyousness, it's pride, it's nerves...It made me excited to find my dress so I can tell my friends "I just knew this was the one".
I don't think this will be my last venture into a bridal boutique as an incognito wedding vendor...it was very fun playing "bride-to-be" :)

I love the shout out! It is an outstanding experience to be a bride in a shop, but also even better to share that story with a good friend, who will happen to shoot her in her own wedding.
