Ken's Headshots

BRRRRR! It was a chilly day in NYC today...but the sun was shining and Ken is used to the freezing air. He loves to ski and spends most of his life flying down snow covered mountains...so cold air is no stranger to him. I thought we would need to retouch a red nose and cheeks but we lucked out! No red here!

Michael's Headshots

Since advertising my "Leap Year Promotion" I've been a headshot junkie! I'm so glad there are so many tenacious actors here in NYC who know a GREAT deal when they see one...Michael came by today and we took advantage of the beautiful February weather. His eyes made me melt!

Polka Dot Events

Today I met Tracey Goldstein of Polka Dot Events at Antique Cafe. This was our first meeting but certainly not our last! We passed an hour chatting about the wedding biz and plannng a "venue shopping" trip. I'm really looking forward to spending a day with Tracey looking at new venues in NYC.

Check out Polka Dot Events' cute website:

www.pdotevents.com

I complimented Tracey on how clean and clear her site is - when you spend hours browsing through wedding industry websites, like new brides do, it can be overwhelming with all the info. Tracey is smart to keep is sweet and simple!

The Mean Fiddler V-day Fundraiser

Aaron Lavigne and Declan Bennett played at The Mean Fiddler last Monday night to raise money for The Make A Wish Foundation. What an amazing show! Despite the small audience, the intimate feeling through the whole night was priceless. Declan quieted the whole bar with his acoustic play of "Smoke" - I'm listening to it on his myspace page as I write this :)

Jenny's Headshots

Despite the bitter cold weather, Jenny and I got together today to take her headshots. We had the talented make up artist, Efthemia, along with us who not only did a great job with Jenny's makeup but she also kept us laughing :) Good times with some wonderful ladies!

A 71-year-old needs a nurse!

Last night PartySingers.com was hired to sing at Michael's 71st birthday party at Bar Boulud in Manhatten. What a show! Erin sang "Fever" and "Let the Good Times Roll" while bandaging up the birthday boy - she even got everyone up on their feet to dance!

Meeting Danny Weiss Photographer

NYC Wedding and Headshot photographer Danny Weiss gave me the pleasure of having coffee with him last week. We had a breif but very full chat before he met with a potential bride. His ideas to concentrate on building my New York Wedding Portfolio and to never stop networking with fellow photographers were so inspirational and absolutely invalueable! Thank you Danny! His energy was infectious and lit a little fire under my bum ;)

In an effort to get my New York Urban Chic Wedding Portfolio moving along I am offering my New York City brides a $500 discount on any wedding package. That means you and I can custom design your package just the way you want it and then I take $500 off! WOW! Call to set up a consultation immediately - weekends will fill up fast with this awesome deal!

A Sunday night in the city

Declan and I met up after his second show on Sunday. It was great to see the routine he goes through after each show...young girls oogling for a signature and then giggling while they ask "Can I take a picture with you?"

That doesn't stop Dec from having a good time afterward...yummy cuban food and laughs on the subway.

Bye Bye tennies....hello boots.

Since living here in NYC I've noticed that I don't have the right shoes...I love wearing my comfortable running shoes while I march around the city BUT if you look at the feet of most of the woman my age, they're all wearing fashionable boots! The pressure to buy some new boots is building...I wouldn't be suprised if you see me in a trendy pair of Uggs or sleek black leather boots soon ;)
