Jessie came in from NYC to visit her friends and family in Denver. She and Maureen are long time friends and Maureen wanted to introduce me to her since we'll be living about 5 mintues away from eachother in a couple weeks! She is an actress out there and we arranged to take some headshots of her while we were both chillin' out in D-town...
Erica is applying for Theater Programs at some fabulous Universities/Collegs (Julliard, NYU, UCLA...) so her Mother hired me to take some headshots to use with her applications. Erica came over and we shot inside for the bulk of the time but stepped outside to weather the bitter cold. Of course, our two favorite shots came from when we were outside! Thank goodness we bundled up and froze for a few minutes to get these great ones...
Noah came over on Sunday afternoon with his Dad to take some Christmas portraits for his Mommy's present...At first this little cutie was shy and hiding behind his Dad's leg but after he shot me his first "spiderman" he warmed up. Then I showed him how fun it is to jump on the bed and his eyes lit up! That was the start of our great photoshoot...
WOW! I had such a blast taking "family portraits" of Patty Kirson's 5 adult children. Of course we couldn't do the typical "posed in the park" family portraits - these kids are too hip! Instead, we had free reign to use each of our artistic eyes and make some gorgeous portraits. I'm really happy with how they turned out, but even better, Patty is so pleased :)
As a christmas gift, my mother hired me to take portraits of her friend Debbie and her family. This is the first time Debbie and her kids have ever had a family portrait, which suprised me because they were such naturals in front of the camera ;) We had a great time at Cheeseman Park eventhought despite the chilly air...the sunshine was unseasonal and provided us with the incredible view of the Rocky Mountains.
My younger brother and I traveled to Las Vegas this past weekend to run the 3rd annual Las Vegas Half Marathon. This was my second time running this race but it was Tommy's first half marathon ever. We had a great time training for the race together and an even better time celebrating our accomplishment in Veges!
Maureen and I got together once again and captured some amazingly unique images. It was wild to see how the music we had playing in the background affected our mood and was reflected in the images. For most of these pictures, we were listening to mellow jazz with a hint of 1970's political anger...
While I'm researching photographers in NYC that will soon become my new buddies, I always end up running across a new favorite photog...today it is Mister Danny Weiss. I originally found him on Digital Wedding Forum and we've sent a couple emails back and forth since. I'm looking forward to our initial coffee date in January :)
When I was in NYC in November I had the awesome pleasure of grabbing a cup of coffee with WPJA award winning photographer Gulnara of Gulnara Studios. She sat with me for an hour and gave me some wisdom for my upcoming move. It was inspiring to see her calm nature and her confidence. After seeing her portfolio, it's obvious why she is in the #1 spot on WPJA...
Yesterday I went over to Serenity on Saint Paul Day Spa and photographed the interiors of each room. They'll be using these photos for their updated website. I also did some headshots of their incredibly talented technicians. I was fortunate enough to have Andrea, owner, give me a full body massage for over an hour - it was heaven! She used hot stones and massaged my scalp. I recommend Andrea to ANYONE and EVERYONE! Not only is she gifted in the art of massage but she is such a pleasure to be around and has an amazing energy. But don't take my word for it, go see for yourself!
This former Bloomingdales Catalogue Model and I spent an afternoon working together...I wouldn't say so much "working" as "goofing off, laughing and playing!"...What a great time - I love my job!
Autumn invited me over to her incredibly spacious New York apartment...and boy-oh-boy did we get some great shots. My job was so easy 'cause this girl knows how to perform in front of a camera!
