Happy Corporate Hour

I'm so lucky to get to see these wonderful gals 5 days out of the week. Their office is just across the hall from my studio and I look forward to peeking in each morning to say "Hello Ladies!"

Hana started Happy Corporate Hour about 2 years ago - I've only been to one of their networking events but I plan on attending as many as possible. These lovely women hosted us at Lure Lounge downtown and created a fun, relaxing, professional environment for all us small business owners to meet. If you're looking for a good group of professionals to network with then contact Hana, Ashley or Kendra and they'll take care of ya ;)

This Friday (November 7th) my building is hosting an Open House/Fresh First Friday.

We'll be serving light hors d'oeuvres, wine & beer...for free!

Come visit my new studio and meet some of my awesome building-mates.

We'll have art hanging from local artists. Including the ever-so-amazing Maureen Patricia Herman ;)

See you there!

Jamie & Jessika E-Shoot

"I would rather have a Summer theme to our shots than an autumn theme" said Jessika when we talked about her and Jamie's Engagement shoot...We planned on shooting indoors at my studio just incase the weather on November 1st was cold, wet and unpleasant. But HA! The day after Halloween was absolutely GORGEOUS! We headed over to Riverfront Park...
We dressed in our short sleeves and sipped cold water during out 70+ degree shoot commenting "It feels like June out here!"
*Note about the above shot* Jamie was a little weary of sitting on the tracks "do trains go on here?"...I confidently replied "I've shot here before and we've been fine"
Well, not 3 shots in and a Light Rail Train comes buzzing around the corner! We jumped up and ran for it. I was laughing but the train driver shook his head and shamed me...That didn't stop us from grabbing a couple more shots ;)

I can't wait to spend July 4th with these two AWESOME and fun love birds next summer!

Quick Fun Photo

So I'm thinking about all the things I need to get done...clean my kitchen floors, email my Mom, send out a Facebook Event Invite to the Open House on Friday...

But for right now, I'm going to put up this great photo I grabbed of Maureen while she helped me with my light test:

Qi Gym/Seasons Fit

I've blogged about Seasons Fit before and I've mentioned how Qi Athletic Club & Seasons Fit combined earlier this fall. Well I captured some great shots for their website & promo materials. My favorite class is Spin-Yoga. You can catch me in Dawnelle's 7am class on Tuesday and Thursday and Raven's noon on Friday.

30 minutes of intense spinning...
followed with 30 minutes of refreshing yoga...The gym portion of Qi is wonderfully equipped and they offer personal training with some enthusiastic, educated and super friendly trainers! I'm getting a great taste of these machines while I'm doing the Boot Camp for the next 4 weeks - whew! That's a kick in the butt right there - 6am on Tues, Weds & Thurs I meet up with 20 other work-out junkies and do crazy circuit training drills for 60 minutes...love it!

Photographer Retreat at Wash Park

Hello friends! I'm Jason Mraz! Er, I mean Ryan. Kellie and I nerded out at the park last week. Here are some photos of the fun!

I'm so glad we caught the LAST day before the leaves fell!

Who knew Wash Park could be mistook for Eastern Europe?

Still can't get wildlife photography out of my system.

Nina & Gabe's Wedding

When Nina and I had her Pre-Wedding meeting she said to me "Be sure to get some shots of my shoes...and my sisters shoes...you're gonna love 'em!" Well she was right, can we say C-U-T-E?!?!?!!? This is only one shot of literally 23 that I took of these adorable shoes...Mount Carmel Catholic Church - Nina & Gabe's families have a lot of history at this church. Most of their family members were baptized, confirmed & married at this gorgeous church located in the Italian district...one of my favorite Italian restaurants, Pagliacci's, is not far from here...yum!
Their gorgeous reception was The Lakewood Country Club. Despite the gray sky & chily weather, we got some great shots outdoors on the green.

These kids know how to break it down on the dance floor...I even joined in for a little bit!
